Description

The TPS56C230RJER is a high efficiency synchronous buck converter with integrated FETs. System designers can use the device in a wide variety of applications since it draws low standby current and requires few external components.
The TPS56C230RJER employs D-CAP3 control that provides fast transient response and excellent line and load regulation with internal compensation. It also has a proprietary circuit that enables the device to support low equivalent series resistance (ESR) output capacitors such as specialty polymer and ultra-low ESR ceramic capacitors.

• Integrated 17-mΩ and 5.9-mΩ FETs

• Selectable Eco-mode™ and Forced Continuous Conductive Mode (FCCM) by MODE pin

• 500-kHz switching frequency

• Adjustable soft-start time with default 1.2 ms

• Integrated Power Good indicator

• Built-in output discharge function

• Cycle-by-cycle over current protection

• Non-latched over-voltage, under-voltage, overtemperature and under voltage lock-out protections

• -40°C to 125°C Operating Junction Temperature
